School Activities

Bunnings Team Members do lots of activities with their local schools including store visits, schoolyard makeovers and D.I.Y workshops.

Contact your local Bunnings store for more details on our School Activities and how you can be involved.

Firestarter encourage kids to get involved with the environment through local projects and activities. They also run Youth Conference Events where kids teach other kids about what they are doing in their school to make a difference.

Bunnings Team Members help Firestarter schools with materials and advice for their projects and with hands on sustainability workshops at each event.

Schools are also invited to present their projects in their local Bunnings store after the event.

SA Youth Environmental Conference July 28 & 29

255 students from 25 schools attended the South Australian Event during July.

Students and Bunnings Team Members removed the salt coral from 95 tortoises and assisted Landcare to plant 1000 native trees at the Hindmarsh Island site.

Tasmanian Youth Environment Conference August 12 & 13

At the Hobart event Moonah Team Members helped more than 100 students build 25 timber nesting boxes to help protect native birdlife.

The bird boxes were taken home by the students for use in their school yards and will provide a safe place for local birds to live and breed.
